- Restoration of the plasterwork to the Auditorium.
Restoring plasterwork in historic listed buildings is one of our specialities and accounts for much of our work. Since 1982, we have restored fixtures in many Grade I and Grade II listed buildings across the UK.
Fibrous plaster has been used for hundreds of years in the nation's properties. We work closely with leading historians and restoration experts from English Heritage and other organisations to make sure our work is authentic and exact.
We must often take impressions from original mouldings and restore retain mouldings, such as ornate cornices, ceiling centres, complete ceiling embellishments and wall panel mouldings.
All damaged or missing plasterwork is repaired either on site or at our premises by our skilled craftspeople. We carefully remove dilapidated mouldings and replicate them in our Essex workshop. We then install them to blend with existing features.
Our teams carry out site inspections so that all parties fully understand the restoration and reinstatement processes involved. We work with our clients to meet strict quality standards and rigid schedules.
We have made a major contribution to the successful completion of many challenging projects, resulting in numerous awards. Our 'heritage works' can be found in grand domestic homes and iconic buildings such as the Royal Albert Hall and the House Of Commons.
