Irish Plasterwork
Locker & Riley are honoured to be undertaking a private commission to sculpt “Irish” styled plasterwork specifically based on the work created by the “La Francini brothers” in 1765 at Castletown House, County Kildare.
Tasked with the enormous challenge of recreating a very specific style, Locker & Riley sent some of it’s most talented sculpture team to Castletown House to be educated on this distinctive style. Such was the importance of this style, permission had been obtained by the client to sculpt elements of the “La Francini Brothers” work on location within the House.
Under the watchful eye of the architects: Quinlan and Francis Terry LLP, Locker & Riley’s team captured the spirit of the original stuccodores to enable the commission to commence.
