Locker & Riley were delighted to collaborate with Robson Warren Architects on the restoration of a Grade II Listed building, originally constructed between 1906–1910 in a striking Neo-Greek style. The project aimed to preserve the building's historic aesthetic while integrating modern sustainable features.
Our role began with a detailed conditional survey and report, inspecting the ceiling from above and below. This assessment highlighted intricate enrichments, materials, and fixing methods, identifying areas requiring structural securing, repairs, and reinstatement of missing or damaged sections.
Phil Hardie, Chair of the Langham Estate, reflected on the restoration, saying:
"The restoration of this cherished Grade II Listed building has been a labour of love and ambition, and the results are a testament to what can be achieved with the right partners that share a commitment to excellence."
We are proud to have contributed to this unique and prestigious project, hailed as “a jewel in the crown of the West End.”
