Heritage advisory from the plasterworks experts
Heritage Advisory Service from the Experts
Locker & Riley are specialists in providing inspections to historic plasterwork and providing reports, guidance & advice on Grade I, Grade II and Grade II* listed buildings. Working with leading industry bodies and our own competent & qualified inspectors, we examine & advise on the condition of historic plaster and produce detailed reports in line with industry guidelines such as ABTT Guidance note 20 & Historic England’s guidance HEAG269 on “Historic Fibrous Plaster in the UK”.
Historical Plasterwork Specialists
When it comes to historical buildings we are heavily process-driven in ensuring all risk elements and past failures are addressed, identifying exactly how these issues could influence the connected structure and performing maintenance programmes to ensure ongoing compliance. Read ABTT’s guide and Historic England’s guidance HEAG269 (both of which our team contributed to) to understand the extent of care and management building owners are liable for.
Sympathetic to tradition
We have completed projects for Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh, The Electric Palace and many other renowned figures and institutions. Organisations such as Local Authorities, Historic England National Trust, English Heritage, Theatre’s Trust and more hold our conservation managers’ advice in high regard, highlighted by our heavy involvement and being credited in Historic England’s guidance on fibrous plaster.
Heritage Advisory Projects
We have helped to restore some of the most remarkable buildings across the UK.
